Our Story
Built by tradespeople.
For the long haul.
20+ years of hands-on construction experience behind every single project we touch.
Founder
Rylan Atherley
Rylan started in the trades two decades ago, working everything from full-scale construction projects to detailed finish work. When he saw how much poor-quality surfacing was being installed at the daycares and schools his own kids attended, Rubberscape was the logical next move.
Today, that same construction-first mindset runs through every project. We don't subcontract critical work. We don't cut corners on drainage prep. We don't install to the minimum. We install to last.
How We Work
The Rubberscape standard.
Construction-grade quality
We approach every job like a general contractor: proper sub-base prep, drainage design, and materials specified for the Canadian climate. Surface-level thinking doesn't fly here.
Compliance first
CSA Z614, ASTM F1292, accessibility requirements: we document everything. Every install that requires certification gets it, clearly and completely.
Client partnership
We work directly with daycare directors, school administrators, and property managers from day one. No surprises. Clear scopes, honest timelines, and real communication throughout.

Standards We Uphold
Compliant. Documented.
Backed by 20 years in the field.
Every project where compliance is required is designed, installed, and documented to the applicable standard. No guesswork.
Work with a team that
takes pride in every install.
